Donna found Habitat on Facebook, and contacted us about the Home Repair Program.  She had concerns about the sub-floor throughout her entryway and kitchen in the home she had purchased a few years before.  She was finding the 1940’s house had several repairs that needed to be addressed before they grew into larger issues.  Not only were there abnormal creaks in her entryway signaling issues with her subfloor, but several places in her linoleum were bubbling.

An independent repair on her porch revealed the original subfloor needed to be pulled and replaced due to dry rot and other hazards.

This is where Habitat was able to step in.

After submitting an application, our Repair Team visited Donna’s residence, did a thorough assessment, and partnered with a local sub-contractor who was able to not only repair her subfloor, but installed beautiful new flooring.

Donna said that she had never heard of Habitat for Humanity of Tuolumne County’s Repair Program, and without it, the repair could have been a far more costly and stressful situation, and was very grateful Habitat was able to help.
