Donations to Habitat for Humanity are current being matched!
Thanks to a $50K matching grant from anonymous donor!
In September, Habitat for Humanity of Tuolumne County (HFHTC) purchased a development property for the bargain price of $399,000. HFHTC was able to make this remarkable purchase thanks to a loan from Habitat for Humanity International. We now have 36 residential lots on which to build 36 energy-efficient, solar-powered, single family townhomes over the next five years. Paying off the acquisition loan is the first step to being able to build houses. Grantors typically won't fund acquisition, so HFHTC must rely on the generosity of the community for this critical first stage.
Owning the property outright will put HFHTC in a much stronger position to obtain future grants and favorable financing to construct the project. We can’t do it without you!
