2006 Partner Family Announced
Sonora, California - Denice McKenzie has been selected to purchase the next Habitat home. Denice was selected from 14 families who participated in the application process beginning in February.
“Owning a home is something I did not think I would ever be able to achieve. My children will now always have a place to call home,” exclaimed Denice when her selection as the 2006 Habitat Partner Family was announced at the Board of Directors meeting on May 23rd.
Denice is a single mother with three children at home—Samantha, 17; Ariane, 10; and Miranda, 7—and has worked at Wal-Mart for 6-1/2 years. She was recently promoted to department manager, proving that you can turn your life around through hard work and perseverance
McKenzie will purchase the Habitat home on Canyonview Drive in the Ponderosa Hills subdivision of Tuolumne when completed through a no-interest loan provided by Habitat.
