Haughton Habitat House Party
On June 13, Habitat for Humanity of Tuolumne County partnered with Roger and Judy Haughton to throw the first (but not the last) Haughton Habitat House Party. This was an invitation-only fundraiser to raise the funds to build the seventh Habitat Home in Tuolumne County. It was an evening at Roger and Judy's spectacular Immanuel Lodge, featuring an amazing selection of food, fine wines and great music.
Special guests for the evening were Ron Terwilliger Chairman of the Board of Habitat for Humanity International, Dave Casper Football Hall of Famer, and our six Partner Families.
The highlight of the evening was a virtual auction where bidders 'built' our next house by donating future labor, materials and cash. Thanks to local contractors who donated their services and the generous cash donations of our supporters, the event realized $35,015 in cash and $38,000 in donations, for a total of $73,015 towards the construction of House #7. This makes this event our most successful fundraising effort EVER in our ten-year history!
