Help build strength and stability
At Habitat for Humanity, we build. We build because we believe that everyone, everywhere should have a healthy, affordable place to call home. When a family helps build a place they can call home, they are also building a better community, a better life for themselves. Your donation will help families in need of a decent place to build long-term financial security. With an affordable, stable home, families have more to spend on food, medicine, child care, education and other essentials. Your support can help us do more in all the many ways that Habitat builds.

Since Habitat for Humanity of Tuolumne County was established, corporations have partnered with us to build strength, stability and self-reliance through shelter in partnership with families in Tuolumne County.
Gifts and in-kind donations of all sorts have helped us further our work, and brought opportunity and resources to families in need of a decent place to call home. Contributions large and small continue to make a difference, and we believe there is something every company can give to allow us to help even more families build better futures.
What are in-kind donations?
When organizations donate or discount goods or services, those donations are considered gifts-in-kind. Habitat accepts in-kind gifts like building materials, furniture, appliances and more.
One of our most valued gifts-in-kind is the materials used to build homes. Habitat for Humanity regularly ranks as one of the top 20 homebuilders in the United States and is the only builder of affordable housing in Tuolumne County.
For example, in each one of the homes we build, we require approximately 150 pounds of nails and 400 two-by-fours. With the average Habitat house consisting of 1,200 square feet and three bedrooms, these numbers add up fast – so donations of building materials from corporate manufacturers are welcome!
Additionally, in some cases, retailers with overstock items donate those goods. Donations like these are usually sold in our ReStore home improvement stores, with the proceeds benefiting Habitat.
We have become experts in creativity and we enjoy working with corporations who want to donate building materials for home construction or overstock items for resale, so don’t hesitate to contact us about your desired donation.

Women Build. Coming together to build stronger, safer communities.
Women Build is an annual fundraiser and work day for Habitat for Humanity of Tuolumne County. Women’s Build involves teams of women who raise funds to support Habitat’s mission of eliminating substandard housing and building strength, stability, self-reliance and shelter.
Our Women Build events provide the opportunity for women to take a proactive step in serving their communities.
No experience is necessary. Volunteers work under the guidance of construction professionals, and alongside other volunteers and future Habitat homeowners. Whether you are learning new skills or simply adding a few to your tool belt, this is a rewarding experience for all involved, and improves the community that you share.
Women Build is also a terrific way to involve your friends and family of all ages in crucial work with a lasting impact. Women helping women sends a positive and powerful message. You can also come alone, and make new friends. The atmosphere is collaborative and friendly.
Teams get their own donation page online and on the day of the build, teams receive personalized Habitat t-shirts and enjoy a day of hard work and a catered lunch.
Every hand makes a difference.
The next Women’s Build Day will be announced in winter 2017.
